(Gauguin de Lully - Poppy v. Chrysos v. Condus) Gauguin du Cheval 9054, one of the most accomplished warmblood stallions in the USA, combines the blood of the legendary Gauguin de Lully, the most successful SWB stallion of all time, with the most influential and successful modern bloodlines in Europe the Anglo Arab gray stallion, Ramzes who belongs to the triumvirate of German procreators of sport horses following World War II, including the triple Olympic Gold Medalist, Rembrandt. He is a champion bred from champions, now producing future champions. Gauguin du Cheval 9054 has successfully exhibited up down the west coast and in the east. In 2002 alone, he won championships in 4 different USDF regions, a feat unequalled by any other horse in the United States. He did this while being exhibited by his amateur owner. He has been successful in judging under German-nationality and European trained judges and has garnered complimentary comments including statements that Gauguin du Cheval 9054 would be a top-10 dressage stallion in Europe. He passes on his excellent conformation and athletic prowess to his offspring, two of whom were approved as breeding stallions in 2012 and a mare that was awarded a DIPLOMA in jumping as well as Class 1 in dressage. All offspring inspected to date have been Class ONE. Gauguin du Cheval 9054 won United States Dressage Federation Horse of the Year awards in 2001, 2001 and 2004. In 2003 he won a Reserve-Champion United States Dressage Federation Horse of the Year award and qualified for and was invited to the USEF North American FEI 5 y.o. Young Horse Championship. From 2001 through 2004, he was named the California Dressage Society Sporthorse Grand Champion over all sporthorses competing in California. Gauguin du Cheval 9054 has almost perfect conformation as well as fabulous gaits, recently described during an FEI training clinic as a 10 canter and international gaits . In competition he regularly receives 9 for his gaits. He also has a talent for jumping, qualifying during his Swedish stallion test to be a jumping stallion with scores of 8 for aptitude and 7 for technique after only 2 weeks of jumping training. In 2008, while learning piaffe and passage in clinics with Judy Westlake, Gauguin du Cheval 9054 debuted in eventing with USEA champion, Jolie Sexson. Following in the footsteps of his sire, Gauguin de Lully, who at age 6 was the Swiss Preliminary 3-day champion, Gauguin du Cheval 9054 is proving to be a bold jumper with a lot of scope over fences. Completing 6 events at Open Training Level, he had no x-country jumping faults, and garnered a 1st place, two 2nd places, a 3rd place, a 4th place and a 5th place. He finished up his first year of eventing by moving up to Open Preliminary at Galway Downs International 3-day Event, winning the dressage, going clean x-country (a conservative run with 13.2 time faults) and a clean stadium for a 2nd place finish only 3.2 faults out of 1st place. Based on his eventing performance, Gauguin du Cheval 9054 was the 2nd place USEF Training Level horse for 2008 and the 10th ranked horse in points for eventing in USEF. His dressage scores in 2008 ranged from 66% to 78%. Gauguin du Cheval 9054 is a registered, branded, life-time approved Swedish Warmblood breeding stallion. His is also approved and currently licensed by RPSI.
