Cadbury ggf, is by Contendro, a Holsteiner with jumping sire genetics of Contender, Calypso II/Cor de la Bryere. Contendro has proven himself with the production of top quality stallion sons and successful offspring in the Performance Tests for Young German Jumper Prospects. In 2006/ 2007 Performance Tests Top spots were filled with colts and fillies in all divisions. The name Contendro rose to the top under only Stakkato for these championships. A real plus for the sire is that he throws not only jumping ability but very good type.
Cadbury’s dam is the black Oldenburg Gwenivere, by Glovanni (Gepard/Gottard). This is a proven international sire line for production of jumpers. Interesting, in the dam of the sire is Paradox I, a foundation sire for the Westphalian breed whose offspring have won over 2.000.000 Dm in Germany alone. Gwenivere was a successful eventing horse with rider Faye Dunn, producing top foals at Greengate from various sires, Santlago, Celline, and Don Genovesse, which are competing successfully in the young horse divisions. Her dam, Waltz Over xx is out of Snows Over xx, many times Conformation Hunter Champion. In the pedigree is “The Schrieber”, sire of Ian Miller’s “War Machine”, and “Catch on Fire”, an extraordinary AAA hunter himself with top production as a sire for both Winterwood/Pam Gould and Jill Henslewood. Last but not least is “Bonne Nuit”, sire of Gem Twist and Good Twist, and a favorite of Frank Chapot.
