Membership Information

Membership in Midwest Breeders Group LLC at this time will be open to North American breeders of quality warmblood sport horses and sport ponies who are active members in a recognized breed society and regularly have their offspring inspected by that society.

Recognized societies are as follows:

American Hanoverian Society,

American Holsteiner Horse Association,

American Trakehner Association,

Jockey Club of North America,

North American Dept --Royal Warmblood Studbook--Netherlands,

Swedish Warmblood Association of North America,

Rheinland Pfalz Saar International,

International Sporthorse Registry,

Belgian Warmblood Paard,

Westfalen Horse Association,

Westfalisches Pferdestammbuch e.V.

Selle Francais Registry,

German Oldenburg Verband in North America,

Irish Sport Horse

American Warmblood Registry* and

American Warmblood Society* only as follows:

Midwest Breeders Group LLC wishes to promote only the very best, well-bred warmblood horses. The American Warmblood Society is based mainly upon performance records, not on pedigree. Because of that, non-warmblood stallions such as draft stallions can be approved in this registry. The American Warmblood Registry also has approved non-warmblood stallions. Those horses do not meet the goals and purpose of Midwest Breeders Group. The Board of Directors will review AWS and AWR approved stallions (and horses) on a case by case situation.

For stallions:

If he is already approved in one of the above recognized societies, he is automatically accepted by MBG.

If NOT, the following criteria will be applied:

AWS or AWR approved stallions must be of a true European Warmblood pedigree (descended from one of the above registries). He must have a successful show record, performing at a minimum of 4th level dressage, or Preliminary Eventing, or High Preliminary jumpers.

The Board of Directors will make the final decision on whether to allow any AWS or AWR horses or stallions.

Membership in Midwest Breeders Group LLC runs the calendar year.

2010 Membership Fee:

Full Member: $100/year.

FULL MEMBERSHIP:

Full members shall be any dues paying member who is a member of one or more of the breed societies listed on this site. Breeders must qualify under the rules laid out by Midwest Breeders Group LLC. Full members receive:

Advertising on website at a reduced rate, and in sales list.

Group advertising opportunities

Links and contact information provided on our website

Reduced clinic/seminar fees

Invitation to Annual General Meeting, with voting rights.

Benefits of Full Membership:

Participation in national group marketing of sale horses

Sales lists sent to prospective buyers

Members may advertise their horses for sale on this site

Members may advertise approved stallions at stud on this site (Stallions must be approved into one of the above registries)

Opportunity to attend MBG sponsored events such as clinics, lectures, demos, auctions, etc for reduced prices

HONORARY MEMBERSHIP:

Honorary Membership is awarded to stallion owners who have donated a breeding to the MBG stallion service auction and the breeding has sold, or at the discretion of the Executive Committee

Honorary Members do not have "free advertising" rights in our sales lists, voting privileges, nor can they serve on the Executive Committee.

Membership may be revoked at any time for failure to comply with the rules of the organization. Members found not in good standing will have their memberships revoked.
