At the 2005 Cosequin/USDF Breeders Championship, judge Lilo Fore described Patrick as a "masculine, elegant, harmonious type." In addition to being ridden by his trainer, Patrick continues to show his gentle and giving nature under his amateur owner. It's a rare stallion that can be ridden, shown, and enjoyed by an amateur.
Patrick's sire, Corland, was an outstanding show jumping stallion who competed internationally with Ulrich Kirchhoff, and retired in 2002.
