Stallion Service Auction Futurity
We are proud to offer the Midwest Breeders Group Stallion Service Auction Futurity Award.
We offer this program as an incentive to those with the winning bids from our stallion service auction and as a thank you to the stallion owners for donating these breedings.
In 2007 there will be TWO futurities.
Since no yearlings from our 2004 auction turned in an entry in the 2006 yearling futurity, we extended that futurity to two-year olds in 2007. Click here for information if you have a 2yr old in 2007, from a winning bid in our stallion service auction.
If you have a yearing in 2007 from a winning bid in our stallion service auction in 2005, or 2004, that yearling is eligible for our Yearling Futurity. Click here for information if you have a yearling in 2007 from either our 2004 or 2005 Stallion Service Auction.
FAQs:
Why do you wait until they are Yearlings?
Since there are no weanling classes for hunter in hand, we opted to level the playing field for the horses. This way owners of hunter/ jumper foals can show their yearlings at USEF recognized hunter breeding shows.
What happens if my mare didn't conceive in the year I won the SSA?
If you mare took an additional year, the resulting foal would enter in to the appropriate year's futurity as a yearling.
Will you continue to offer a futurity for two-year olds?
Not at this time. 2007 Two Yr old futurity is a special circumstance, as there were not entries in the 2006 futurity.
What if I sell the offspring?
Encourage the new owner to show the yearling! They are eligible to receive a portion of the futurity winnings, making it a win-win situation for them too!
